RCC Trainee Policies

Grievance Policy

Rutti Counseling & Consultation strives to provide the highest quality of care and customer experience possible.

If you are a training participant or client, and have any feedback regarding your experience, training, refunds, continuing education approvals, or any other questions or concerns, please complete the following form.

Grievances are reviewed by the RCC leadership team and a resolution will be delivered to the individual or organization who files the grievance if that information is provided. We strive to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution. Refund requests will follow the refund policy, with some exceptions made by the advisory committee if a formal request has been made and is deemed reasonable. If there is an issue with nonreceipt of a certificate, the CE provider will resolve the issue by sending the certificate to the trainee within 3 business days. Complaints about course content, speakers, facilities, and other miscellaneous occurrences will be taken seriously and formally reviewed by the advisory committee and a resolution will be communicated to the trainee if their information is provided. The review and resolution of grievances related to a training experience will be reviewed by members of the advisory committee. Members may include the following individuals: Lisa Hayes, LISW-S; Stephanie Rotuno, LMFT; Kristen Kelly; LPCC-S, LICDC; CTTS, RYT 200; Leah Herman, PsyD; Julie Duhigg, PhD.

Participants also have a right to issue a complaint with any of the continuing education approval sources connected to our trainings if you feel that your rights as a learner have been violated or disrespected. These include but are not limited to the EMDR International Association, the American Psychological Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association of Social Work Boards, and the Ohio Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists Board.

If the rescheduled date isn’t available for your, we can offer another date or issue a refund. If you terminate your training or leave early for any reason, you are not eligible for a refund. Attendance at the entire training is required for our program to remain compliant with EMDRIA standards. All other cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please note that registrations for trainings cannot be transferred outside of RCC trainings (i.e., Institute for Creative Mindfulness or other ICM affiliates). If you are unable to attend a training and choose to attend with a different trainer, you will be asked to cancel your registration and re-register with the other training provider.
